TD Ameritrade U was an educational initiative for college professors and students, to learn the tools and the advanced trading techniques and strategies that are used by professional investors and traders.

By using the thinkorswim desktop platform and mobile app, a simulated trading environment is created that uses real market data, which allowed professors and their students to create smaller custom drills, which are catered to the classroom; and the larger annual national competition, where students from across the nation would compete for awards and recognition for becoming thinkorswim trading champion.
